Roses....

Ok, so I am beginning to understand the process of painting roses...I still don't like it, but that which doesn't kill you makes you stronger or so I've heard. I am going back to the drawing board with this one. This time I will take better care with my drawing and have a little more patience while painting.

Another thing that occured to me is that I need to be using all transparent paint.
Time to go shopping - but for now, I'm gonna go put my toes in the water....

OK The Tres yellow Tulips are almost done. Now I have to paint the rose.
I am challenging myself and already making excuses...laundry, gardening, etc.

Roses

I have always been afraid of roses. 
Roses hold such intense meanings. 
Each color has a meaning.
The number of roses in a bunch holds meaning. 
Such symbolism for a flower. 

I have been painting roses these last two weeks. 
Even in my sleep.
And when I am dreaming, I think I have it down, only to awake and find, once again...
I can't.

So, I went back to tulips yesterday. 
But when I am done, with this painting I will conquer the rose.

Feels like fall in the air. Summer was hot! Ready to get painting and organizing.
So much good watercolor instruction on the web, would still like to take a class somewhere around here. I think I will start a Wednesday night painting group.
